Toyota Clermont Introduces the Lego Toyota Supra

Toyota and Lego collaborated on a LEGO collection called “LEGO Speed Champions Toys: featuring the popular sports car the Toyota Supra. To kick off the collectible, Toyota innovated a Lego Toyota Supra made out of LEGOS, Toyota of Clermont is here to give you all the details.

Toyota takes their piece of the cake in the LEGO Speed Champions Toys-themed collection with the iconic fast car that debuted onto Toyota’s lineup back in 1979. “LEGO Speed Champions Toys” is a LEGO collection for car lovers who want to be in the driver’s seat of their future vehicles or maybe ones they own already like the Clermont Toyota Supra. 

What is the Toyota Supra and what makes it special? 

The Clermont Toyota Supra is a Toyota sports car that was introduced to the market back in 1978. Well, you have probably seen the Clermont Toyota Supra in the iconic Fast and the Furious movie. It made its way back from a hiatus in 2019 after it paused in 2002. The fifth generation of the Toyota Supra was a collaboration with BMW and is based on the Z4. The 2022 Toyota Supra can hit up to 160 MPH and can go 0.60 MPH in 3.8 seconds.

In 2022 the Toyota Supra celebrated its 35th anniversary by building a real-life Toyota Supra built out of Legos. The collaborative effort took 3,000 hours in development and then another 2,400 hours being built by Toyota Gazoo Racing, Lego Japan, and Legoland Japan. Here are the details about their LEGO Toyota Supra masterpiece. 

• The exterior of the Toyota GR Supra Lego is slightly wider than the GR Supra, with a lot more weight and a lot less speed. 
• It’s made almost completely out of Legos with a total of 477,303 Lego bricks with the exception of the driver’s seat, steering wheel, gauge cluster, and badging being identical to the real Supra. 
• It drives with an electric drivetrain with an impressive max speed of 17 mph and we say impressive because it is made out of legos.
