What to expect when the 2025 Toyota 4Runner arrives

As noted, the 2025 Toyota 4Runner was totally redesigned – we’re talking top to bottom and under the hood, too. You’ll find nine different models to choose from when it arrives at Toyota of Clermont, including:

  • SR5
  • TRD Sport
  • TRD Sport Premium
  • TRD Off Road
  • TRD Off Road Premium
  • Limited
  • Platinum
  • TRD Pro
  • Trailhunter

All models will have a standard power rear window (exciting), as well as an available power rear liftgate to up the convenience factor.

We’re especially excited about the new Trailhunter model. It’ll be sporting an ARB roof rack and RIGID LED fog lamps, as well as rock rails and skid plates. 33-inch Toyo Open Country all-terrain tires ensure it’s ready for anything, while a low-profile high-mount air intake and ARB Old Man Emu shocks help to get you where you need to go (even if it’s off the beaten path). We’re so ready for this one to arrive at Toyota of Clermont.

And we can’t forget the Platinum. This is the first time ever that this trim-level has been available on the 4Runner, and it’ll showcase heated first and second-row seats, rain-sensing wipers, a Head-Up display, and a standard tow tech package.

What to know about the 2025 Toyota 4Runner performance

When you think of the 2025 Toyota 4Runner, performance is probably one of the main highlights that comes to mind (and we get it). This off-road-ready truck is renowned throughout its history for its capability to take things off the pavement. It’s sporting tons of new features and upgrades with its redesign, and our Clermont Toyota dealership has all the details.

  • There are two new turbocharged engine options. There’s a 2.4L 4-cylinder i-FORCE engine that gets 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft. However, for the first time ever there’s a new i-FORCE MAX hybrid powertrain that gets 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft torque.
  • The 2025 Toyota 4Runner comes in 2WD, part-time 4WD, or full-time 4WD.
  • It’s sitting on the TNGA-F global truck platform (you’ll also find this one on the Sequoia, Tundra, Tacoma, and Land Cruiser). The platform uses a high-strength boxed steel-ladder frame. It pairs it with a multi-link coil rear and double wishbone front suspension for maximum handling and comfort.
  • You’ll also find a brand-new Stabilizer Bar Disconnect Mechanism for improved suspension articulation (basically, more flex). It has higher approach angles (32 degrees) and departure angles (24 degrees), too.
  • This new Clermont Toyota also features automatic limited-slip differential, center-locking rear differential, and active traction control. There’s also multi-terrain select and CRAWL control at your fingertips.

So not only is there a new hybrid drivetrain option with much-improved horsepower and torque, but there’s also incredible updates for off-roading performance.
