2023 Toyota Highlander Gets A Revamp With A New Turbocharged Engine

You can always expect the Clermont Toyota Highlander to get an elegant upgrade every year for its revamp. However, the All-new 2023 Toyota Highlander keeps its competition on their toes or their wheels. This midsize SUV hasn’t been number one in retail for six years running “just because”. This Clermont Toyota delivers nothing but excellence. So, what can you look forward to when you trade in your old wheels for a brand-new ride with the 2023 Toyota Highlander? Toyota of Clermont answers. New engine, New Efficient Speed The 2023 Highlander gas models are improving in every category, especially a higher-torque, efficient turbocharged engine with a 265-horsepower, 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, which uses balance shafts for super-smooth performance, and delivers 309 lb-ft of torque. Talk about evolution: the previous 3.5-liter V6 engine was 263 lb-ft. Toyota knew what they were doing by giving a serious upgrade on your daily commute. It doesn’t stop there. In his all-new 2023 Clermont Toyota Highlander, you get the option of FWD or two different available AWD systems. And More Efficiency You’ll be able to tow up to 5,000 pounds and use trailer sways control, including vehicle stability control, to help control unwanted trailed movement in this Clermont Toyota. But, its efficiency doesn’t stop there. Your 2023 Toyota Highlander will help reduce fuel consumption by incorporating a stop and start engine system that shuts the engine off when your Clermont Toyota is coming to a complete stop and restarts as soon as you let go of the brake pedal. Let’s Talk About Technology As expected, you can look forward to a nice big touchscreen to help you navigate to every destination with a 12.3 Multi-information Display touchscreen standard on the Limited and Platinum grades. But, it doesn’t stop there. You’ll also get a 12.3” Full digital instrument cluster screen to match four different visual modes for a personalized touch: Casual, Smart, challenging, and can’t forget sporty mode. Backing out of tight spaces got easier, with power-folding exterior mirrors standard for the Limited and Platinum grades. In addition, the Qi-compatible charger, which lets you place your device on it and its chargers without having to connect a charging cord, has been moved to the instrument panel shelf for more convenience. In previous models, the hands-free power liftgate was only offered on the Limited and Platinum. For the 2023 Toyota Highlander, the XLE and XSE grades are joining them. The Design Gets an Upgrade You can look forward to new colors on this Clermont Toyota favorite upgrade. The 2023 Highlander adds an elegant new available Cypress exterior color and Harvest Beige, and the Glazed Caramel interiors feature black as an accent color instead of the previous Noble brown. The Hybrid 2023 Toyota Highlander is your new eco-friendly ride. You’ll get a 36 combined MPG manufacturer estimated rating, a 2.5-liter DOHC four-cylinder engine with two electric motor-generators, and a 243 total system horsepower. Toyota of Clermont will get the 2023 GR Corolla later this year

It is - FINALLY - official. The 2023 GR Corolla will be coming to a Toyota dealership near you later this year (so you'll definitely see it at Toyota of Clermont). We've been waiting for an official confirmation for months (decades, it feels like) and late last night, we finally got it. We've got the details on exactly what the much-anticipated 2023 GR Corolla will be bringing to the table when it arrives at Toyota of Clermont - check it out! The 2023 GR Corolla will be available in two models: the Core and the Circuit. The Circuit is a special launch-year model that will only be available this year. You can add three packages to this new Clermont Toyota: Performance, Technology, and Cold Weather. We don't have specifics on price or exact arrival date, but we do know that it'll be arriving at Toyota of Clermont later this year. What will the 2023 GR Corolla have to offer? Let's talk about performance - we know that's what everyone (us) has been MOST excited about since Toyota started dropping teasers for this newest member of the GR family. Here are the highlights: The 2023 GR Corolla will offer the first sports all-wheel-drive system in 20 years, dubbed GR-FOUR, which provides unbeatable control and traction as power is sent to each wheel. It's simple and lightweight so maximize performance. People (us) were very upset about the GR Yaris not making it to the states and the GR Corolla more than makes up for it. It's boasting the same turbocharged G16E-GTS powerplant as the GR Yaris, but performance of the popular 3-cylinder engine has been boosted by a new engine exhaust with a three-piece muffler. This results in less outside noise and less exhaust pressure. All in all, the new 2023 GR Corolla offers 300 horsepower and 273 lb-ft torque. The G16E also offers large-diameter exhaust valves, multi-oil jet piston cooling, and a part-machined intake port. The new GR Corolla also offers front and rear Torsen Limited-Slip Differentials for the best possible grip and cornering; additionally, drivers will have control of left and right-hand torque distribution on the front and rear axles. Not only that, drivers can control front/rear torque distribution with the turn of a dial. For example, they could have it at 60:40 for everyday driving, 50:50 for max performance at high speeds on the track, and 30:70 for a sporty experience on winding roads. The 2023 GR Corolla showcases a single-scroll ball-bearing turbo with a six-speed intelligent manual transmission with rev-matching so your Clermont Toyota can handle high torque without a problem. The shift lever has a shortened stroke for quick throws. Toyota has also included the D-4S direct and port fuel injection system for both fuel efficiency and maximum fuel dispersion. This new Clermont Toyota GR hatchback will offer a MacPherson strut front suspension with circuit-tuned coil springs, shock absorbers, and stabilizer bars, resulting in a lightweight design and firm handling. The rear suspension utilizes a double-wishbone multilink system to accommodate the AWD capabilities. You'll also find wide tread tires for high-speed stability and exceptional cornering abilities, as well as 18" gloss black 15-spoke cast alloy wheels for some flash. Further, it has fixed-caliper disc brakes painted red with the special GR logo on them to enhance performance. And we can't discount the body design - the 2023 GR Corolla has a highly rigid and lightweight body designed especially for performance. It has significantly more weld points and extensive use of structural adhesive in the frame. It will definitely dominate the track, but not only that, it also just looks. Really. Cool. It sits wide and low to the ground; the new 2023 GR Corolla was definitely designed with sport in mind, showcasing features like: A compact and sporty hatchback design also leads to great aerodynamics. The nose rises to a tapered roofline for airflow, and the hot rear spoiler leads to more downforce. Lower rockers allow air to seamlessly flow down the sides of the GR Corolla, while the hood, fender, and rear bumper ducts and a flat underfloor help to reduce drag. The car was also designed to be as lightweight as possible. In the Circuit Edition, the roof is made of forged carbon fiber. In both models, aluminum is used for the hood and front door panels, with high-tensile steel woven into the design for structural integrity and safety. The 2023 GR Corolla exudes sporty style thanks to features like rear and front fender flares, a black matrix grille, rear wings, a shark fin antenna, glossy black accents, and LED lighting, including fog lights. The interior matches the exterior's sporty aesthetic. The cabin of the 2023 GR Corolla showcases Brin Naud suede and synthetic leather-trimmed seats with red stitching and red mesh inserts, as well as special GR badging and aluminum sport pedals. What about tech? You may be getting the best of the best when it comes to performance, but that doesn't mean the GR Corolla skimps out on technology and safety features. It offers drivers: A 12.3" color multi-information display with tachometer, gear position indicator, 4WD mode, and turbo pressure A push-button start system Heated front seats and steering wheel Power windows with one-touch auto up/down 2 USB charging ports and a 12V auxiliary power outlet Automatic climate control Qi wireless charging Toyota Audio Multimedia System with an 8" touchscreen and optional JBL sound Apple CarPlay and Android Auto A 4G WiFi hotspot Dual Bluetooth streaming Drive Connect Intelligent Assistant Voice controls Cloud-based native navigation Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 A Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert Hill Start Assist Control A one-year trial subscription to Toyota Safety Connect Find out when the 2023 GR Corolla Hot Hatch is arriving at Toyota of Clermont - follow us! new Clermont Toyota

Is a new Toyota SUV coming? Toyota of Clermont weighs in.

There's been a lot of speculation as of late in the world of Toyotas (we're mostly talking about the new GR Corolla Hot Hatch). Well, Toyota is stirring the pot yet again - their latest press release teased a new Toyota SUV that'll be headed our way soon. We've got two guesses as to what it is... check it out! Which new Toyota SUV will it be? We're speculating... Before we talk about anything, let's talk about the press release. Yesterday, Toyota released a teaser image of the rear half of a Toyota SUV in a press release. There was very little info in the press release itself; the headline reads "The next big thing from Toyota" while the copy merely read "Something big is coming to the Toyota SUV lineup. A clear picture will come into view soon. Stay tuned.” So all in all, not a ton to go on... but we're going to run with it. Our two guesses as to what this new Toyota SUV might be? Either the new 2023 Toyota Sequoia or the highly speculated new Toyota Grand Highlander. Here's why: The Clermont Toyota Sequoia is due for a reboot - there's not denying that. The last time it was redesigned was waaaay back in 2007. It needs a major refresh inside and out, plus under the hood. Toyota hasn't released any official info on what it'll have to offer for the 2023 model year, but we do know it's going to be redesigned. Here's what we're thinking it'll have to offer when it arrives later this year: A brand-new engine option (or options). The 5.7L V8 engine will be kicked to the curb, undoubtedly, and we're thinking it'll likely be replaced with the turbocharged V6 engine that's found in the new 2022 Toyota Tundra. It could also possibly offer a hybrid model like its truck sibling. It'll also be updated in a big way in terms of appearance. It'll likely look similar to the new 2022 Toyota Tundra on the exterior and the interior will be decked out with plush textures and a more ergonomic design. Additionally, it'll sit on the new TNGA-F platform, which was updated to provide better ride comfort and safety features. On the other hand, there's been a loooot of speculation about a new model coming out to fill the hole in the lineup left by the retirement of the Toyota Land Cruiser. Toyota recently patented the name "Grand Highlander" and people are speculating in a big, big way that a new Toyota SUV is headed to the lineup. Supposedly, the Grand Highlander will be a bit larger than the existing Clermont Toyota Highlander and have three rows of comfortable seating. Follow Toyota of Clermont on social media for updates! Which will it be? Maybe neither... but stay tuned and follow our social media for updates! Toyota of Clermont is open seven days a week at 16851 State Road 50 just west of the Florida Turnpike. You can call us for updates or to schedule your test drive at (352) 404-7000 today.

Tundra Capstone, Toyota GR GT3, refurbished Toyotas: We've got your Toyota news

It's Friday! Another week has wrapped and we've got more new Toyota news to share to kick off your weekend. From a new Tundra luxury trim to a fancy Bruce-Wayne-Esque concept to the possibility of refurbished Toyotas, we're bringing you the latest and greatest new Toyota news straight from Toyota of Clermont. Check it out! Four new Toyota news stories to follow this weekend First things first - a new trim-level of the 2022 Toyota Tundra has been unveiled. Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the past year or so, you probably know that the Tundra was totally redesigned from bumper to bumper this year, even under the hood. Toyota just came out and unveiled the new Capstone trim level, which will offer a luxury option to drivers who want to take things up a notch. It includes features like power running boards, 22" chrome wheels and chrome accents, a 12" color Head Up Display, a panoramic moonroof, and luxurious leather trim inside the cabin. It'll be up for grabs on the hybrid (yup, you read that right - hybrid) iForce Max model and should be arriving at Toyota of Clermont sometime this spring. Follow us on social media for updates! Calling all Batman fans - Toyota Gazoo Racing showcased a brand-new concept this morning over a digital presentation that has us channeling Bruce Wayne. The new Toyota GR GT3 concept car has serious Batmobile vibes and we. Love. It. TGR offered no info - all we know right now is that it'll be on display at the Tokyo Auto Salon in Makuhari Messe exhibition hall this weekend. We'll keep you posted as more details arrive. But would you drive it? Take us to the bat cave, personally. If you're a fan of Apple products, you probably know that one of their big initiatives is refurbishing products. This is when a company takes a used product, restores it to like-new condition, and resells it, usually with a warranty attached. It's a great way to both cut down on cyclical waste AND offer more affordable options to customers who may not be able to afford the product brand-new. Rumor has it that Toyota is starting a new program based on Apple's refurb strategies over in the UK. Essentially, they would take a car back after a 3-year lease, restore it to like-new condition, and then release it over the period of a ten-year cycle. Sounds like a good idea to us! And last but not least, classic Toyota fans, rejoice - Toyota Gazoo Racing is adding a host of new classic car parts to its Heritage Parts Catalog. The parts will range from everything from driveshafts to exterior badging and the catalog is being expanded to include parts for the 40 Series Land Cruiser, 2000GT, AE 86 Corolla, and A70 and A80 Series Supras. If you were looking for a sign to start that restoration project, this is it. Toyota Sequoia

The 2023 Toyota Sequoia Redesign: What we know so far

When you think of the new Toyota SUV lineup, we're willing to bet that the Toyota Sequoia doesn't exactly spring to mind. We're the first to admit that it's in need of a refresh; the second generation launched way back in 2007 (!!!) and this plush SUV hasn't undergone a redesign since then. It's definitely due for an update and if the rumors are true, we're about to get one - supposedly, the 2023 Toyota Sequoia redesign is going to be all-new from bumper to bumper. We don't have the full scoop because Toyota has been keeping things under wraps, but here's what we know so far. What we know about the 2023 Toyota Sequoia redesign (and also what we're hoping) First of all, one of the reasons we're so certain that the new 2023 Toyota Sequoia redesign is going to be debuted is because the Toyota Land Cruiser was retired this year. This leaves a luxury, performance-driven hole in the lineup, and the Toyota Sequoia could easily step in to fill it. Also, as we said, it's been 15 years since this family vehicle was redesigned. It's due - like, more than due. The 2023 Toyota Sequoia redesign will likely be redesigned inside and out, plus under the hood. In terms of appearance, we're willing to bet the new 2023 model sports an angular and muscular look similar to that of the new 2022 Toyota Tundra. The inside will likely have a more ergonomic and stream-lined design studded with luxury features. We're also willing to bet that the 2023 Toyota Sequoia redesign will sit on the new TNGA-F platform (just like the 2022 Toyota Tundra). This platform was designed to provide improved safety and ride quality. Rumor has it that the new 2023 Toyota Sequoia will also follow in the Tundra's footsteps in terms of engine. It's been sporting a 5.7L V8 for decades (literally) and we're almost positive it'll be swapping out for the two options available in the new Tundra - a twin-turbo V6 (389 hp and 479 lb-ft of torque) and an i-Force Max hybrid option (437 hp and 583 lb-ft of torque). This means a much more powerful and efficient performance, no matter which option you choose. We've also heard that the new Clermont Toyota Sequoia redesign will offer a couple of special trim levels like the luxurious Capstone and performance-driven TRD Pro trims that come on the new 2022 Toyota Tundra. And to cap it all off, we're hearing (and hoping) that it'll arrive sometime this summer (2022) as a 2023 model. It's not an accolade to take lightly, and it definitely points to the fact that drivers love our brand. Toyota bumps GM from number one spot How did it happen? Basically, GM has been the top-selling automaker in America every single year since 1931 - talk about a winning streak. However, Toyota threw a wrench into their long-claimed victory this year by coming out on top for the first time in 90 years. Here are the details: In 2021, Toyota sold 2.3 million cars in America, which was a 10.4% increase from the year 2020. Keep in mind, this is all with the insane semi-conductor chip shortages, factory and plant shutdowns, and low inventory, too. In 2021, GM sold 2.2 million cars in America, which was a 12.9% decrease from the year 2020. Sales of both cars and trucks were up last year for Toyota. Alternative fuel cars (like hybrid cars) sales totaled 600,000, a whopping 73% increase from the previous year. Additionally, the Toyota Tacoma sold 5.7% more units than in 2020. Top-selling models included the Toyota Corolla, Toyota Camry, Toyota Highlander, and Toyota Tacoma (all of which are extremely popular options at Toyota of Clermont). Toyota Corolla commemorated in a new manga series

We all know that when it comes to Toyota cars, the Toyota Corolla is an icon. This global best-seller is loved all over the world for its reliability, its sporty performance, its fuel efficiency, its affordability... the list goes on and on, but to get to the point, it's a fan favorite for a reason. And if you don't believe us, just look at the sales - Toyota just hit the 50 million mark in terms of Corollas sold worldwide. Obviously, it's got something going for it. And Toyota things so, too. They're celebrating the major milestone of selling 50 million of these fan favorites by commemorating the car in a new manga series! This all-new comic is available online only in Japan - we're not sure when or if it will be available in print - but we know you can work your internet magic and get your hands on a copy if you really try. Here's what we know so far about this cool new comic series featuring none other than the Clermont Toyota Corolla: It's written in Japanese (hence it only being released in Japan). The comic covers the history of the iconic Toyota Corolla from inception to the present day and hits the highlights of its design and performance. Things kick off in the 1960s (when the Toyota Corolla was first introduced to the market) with a father bringing the all-new first-gen model to show his family and take them for a ride. The next scene features a 1970s father and son duo taking the next generation of this iconic Clermont Toyota out for a spin together, having a heart-to-heart. The 1980s showcases the still-popular AE86, one of the most sought-after iterations of the Corolla. Jump into the 1990s and the scene features a family taking the Toyota Corolla out for a drive and some ice cream. For some reason, Toyota decided to skip over the 2000s and 2010s, diving right into the 2020s to show off the updated technology featured in this Clermont Toyota. The artwork is time-period-centric, featuring design elements appropriate for each era. The stories aren't made up - they're actually based on real-life Corolla drivers who submitted photos and accounts of their experiences behind the wheel for Toyota to consider for the manga series. But you don't have to take a manga series' word for it - why not see for yourself? Get behind the wheel of a new 2022 Toyota Corolla at Toyota of Clermont! It's waiting for you and decked out for the new model year with features like Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Sirius XM Satellite Radio, and more. Plus, it comes in nine different models, including two special Apex Editions and a Nighshade Edition AND a hybrid model for even better fuel efficiency (the other models get an incredible 31/40 mpg). Don't wait - test drive it today! You can shop online OR in person. Toyota of Clermont is conveniently located just off the Florida Turnpike at 16851 State Road 50.
