What we know about the 2024 Toyota Tacoma so far

It's finally here - Toyota has announced that the official unveiling of the much-anticipated 2024 Toyota Tacoma will take place on May 19. (It's at 1:30 am, so get your coffee pot prepped.) Rumors have been flying about this new Toyota truck since its redesign was announced. Will it look like the Tundra? Will it be electrified? Is the manual option going to disappear? Toyota of Clermont is here with every single bit of 2024 Toyota Tacoma information we've found so far - get ready for your test drive. Everything we know about the 2024 Toyota Tacoma Design: It's getting a full redesign - bumper to bumper. It's due; this popular Clermont Toyota truck hasn't been redesigned since 2015 and fans have been clamoring for it. The 4th generation will officially be revealed in mere weeks and we should be able to see it in person at the end of this year or the beginning of next year. Toyota has given us teaser photos; we can't really see the details of the truck, but we can see the silhouette and that stylistically, the 2024 Toyota Tacoma looks to resemble the redesigned Toyota Tundra and Sequoia. These redesigned trucks are much more muscular and angular, and we're betting the Tacoma fits right into the family. We're betting on multiple bed and cab options. Toyota released a teaser video indicating that there will be both crew and extended cabs available, as well as a long bed option. https://di-uploads-pod3.dealerinspire.com/toyotaofclermont/uploads/2023/05/Toyota-Tacoma.mp4 Performance: For the first time ever, a hybrid option will be available for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma. It'll offer a new i-Force Max engine option with enhanced horsepower and torque, as well as better fuel efficiency. We also are willing to bet a new gasoline engine will be brought into the mix. The 2022 Toyota Tundra and 2023 Toyota Sequoia both introduced a turbocharged option for their redesigns, and we think the 2024 Toyota Tacoma will follow that track. There's also a new platform in the picture. The 2024 Toyota Tacoma will feature the new TNGA-F platform, which is body-on-frame. This is huge and means that this new generation of the Clermont Toyota will be better for off-roading, towing, and handling in general. You're not losing the manual edition. Toyota released some teaser pictures featuring a gas, brake, and clutch pedal; they also confirmed that a six-speed manual transmission is a guarantee. (A lot of fans were speculating that the manual would disappear with the introduction of a hybrid or EV option.) A new special edition model is coming into the picture. The Trailhunter special edition featuring ARB parts - from what we gleaned from the teaser photo - will be perfect for overlanding, off-roading, and adventures off the pavement. Additionally, we're pretty sure that an updated and improved audio system is being introduced. We think a bigger touchscreen will be featured (the current screen is 8"). Additionally, we think that the new audio system on the 2024 Toyota Tacoma will offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as Toyota Connected Services. And Toyota announced that JBL will be available - this new Clermont Toyota truck is going to showcase a JBL Flex speaker that can be removed from the truck and used as a portable speaker. Get updates on the new 2024 Toyota Tacoma through Toyota of Clermont This is what we know so far... and we're ready for May 19th already. For more updates on the 2024 Toyota Tacoma, follow us on social media or give us a call! You can get us seven days a week at (352) 404-7000.

toyota camry vs honda accord

2023 Toyota Camry vs Honda Accord: Which Car is the Better Deal?

Car shopping is a long intensive process that requires a lot of research and patience. Honda and Toyota are both popular car brands who have gained their popularity by producing reliable cars at affordable prices. So, if you are in the market for midsize sedans, it's likely you are stuck between two models: the Toyota Camry LE or Honda Accord LX. So, which car is the better deal? Toyota of Clermont experts have done the research so you don’t have to any longer. Let’s dive into everything from warranties to performance to convenience on the Toyota Camry vs Honda Accord. Who has the better Warranty? Toyota vs. Honda Accord Warranties are very important when you buy a brand-new car because they ensure proof of quality, as well as protection on specific aspects of your Clermont Toyota. The Camry and Accord provide good warranties, however, Toyota’s warranty gives you a bigger bang for your buck than Honda's. You get unlimited miles for up to 24 months for roadside assistance with the 2023 Toyota Camry, versus 36,000 miles for up to 36 months. Enjoy no-cost maintenance for 24 months for up to 25,000 miles on the Toyota Camry, while you get a little bit under on the Honda Accord with 24 months or up to 25,000 miles (whichever comes first). Toyota Wins the Performance Sector Over the Accord When it comes to performance these midsize sedans are making the cut. They both share top safety features, fuel efficient performance, and the best reliability. However, the Toyota Camry has a slight edge when it comes to performance over the Honda Accord. You’ll be happy to note that the Camry LE, which is the lowest trim level of the Camry, comes with a 2.5L 4-Cylinder 8-Speed Automatic engine, versus the 2023 Honda Accord’s 1.5T Lx CVT engine. The Camry comes with more horsepower than the Accord with 203 horsepower versus the 192 horsepower you can get on the Accord. You would think the more horsepower, the less fuel economy on the Camry, however, the Toyota Camry defies the odds with better fuel efficiency at 39 MPG Highway compared to 37 MPG Highway on the Honda Accord. The Honda Accord gets slightly better torque with 192 versus 184 on the Toyota Camry. This Clermont Toyota comes with a blind spot monitor and cross-traffic alert option, unavailable on its competitor the Clermont Honda Accord. The Clermont Toyota Camry received a 5 in its NHTSA frontal crash rating. Hybrid models available on Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. Get Better Convenience with the Camry vs Accord The Toyota Camry elevates its experience in the interior with a spacious feel and plenty of tech upgrades to look forward to on this sedan. These two models are top competitors and it only makes sense that they would compete with each other by carrying the same features. Let's take a look at the convenience features you can look forward to on both the Camry and Accord. Five people seating capacity Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility Optional Wireless charging pad 12V Power outlet Let’s take a look at the differences between these two: If you prioritize turning your car into a concert venue, the Toyota Camry is your choice with six available speakers plus an optional sunroof, versus four speakers and no sunroof option. If you're interested in electric cars at all, then you probably know that Toyota recently introduced a new BEV to the market - the 2023 Toyota bZ4X. It's a Toyota full electric vehicle, which means it runs solely on electric charge and needs to be plugged in to power up before you hit the road. It's a big step in the world of EVs for Toyota, but that's not all that's going on lately. Toyota of Clermont is here with the latest Toyota electric vehicle news for 2023. What you should know about Toyota electric vehicles this year Toyota is reconsidering its EV strategy long game. Akio Toyoda - the CEO of Toyota - recently stepped down from his post in January of this year. His replacement, Koji Sato, has made it clear that his interests lie in expanding Toyota's footprint in the full electric vehicle market - a.k.a., adding more EVs to the everyday lineup. Rumor has it that Toyota recently acquired and disassembled a Tesla Model Y, which is actually a pretty common practice among automakers. Why? To assess which manufacturing techniques Tesla is using inside of their vehicles. Toyota is interested in designing a new platform for their Toyota electric vehicles (we'll get to that next) and this could definitely help push their EVs to the next level. Toyota and Lexus are working on a new platform for EVs. Toyota and Lexus are working together to create an all-new platform built solely for Luxus and Toyota full electric vehicles. Right now, their electric cars - like the 2023 Toyota bZ4X - sit on the e-TNGA platform. This is a slightly modified version of the existing TNGA platform, which many of Toyota's vehicles rest on. However, this particular platform does have its limitations when it comes to EVs. It limits the size of the battery pack (which results in a shorter range). This means that Toyota electric vehicles that use the e-TNGA platform have a hard time keeping up with Tesla in terms of efficiency. A new platform built solely for EVs could result in further range AND new vehicles being added to the lineup. As noted, that Model Y disassembly may lend some insight. This new platform is supposed to be in production by 2026. China got a new Toyota bZ3 sedan. We've talked about the bZ (Beyond Zero) lineup before, and how Toyota's goal is to expand it to include a wide variety of Toyota full electric vehicle options on a global scale for consumers. In the U.S., we have the 2023 Toyota bZ4X and a bZ SUV concept (for now). China, however, recently got the second official member of the bZ family: the new 2023 Toyota bZ3. This sleek sedan was a collaboration between Toyota and BYD (a globally renowned EV company) and is built on the e-TNGA platform. However, the new bZ3 uses BYD's lithium-ion battery, motor, and electric control system to extend the range of this EV to 372 miles. It has a starting MSRP of $27,700 USD, too, making it more affordable than many of its full electric counterparts. There's no guarantee that we'll ever see this Toyota electric vehicle in the U.S. market, but we do know more bZ options will continue to arrive at our Clermont Toyota dealership in the future (so we'll keep you posted). Florida beach road trip

The best beaches to take a road trip to this summer

Spring break starts tomorrow, and at Toyota of Clermont, we're ready to jump feet-first into the season. Spring in Florida means beach days, and it also means that summer isn't far off. If you're looking to get out of town and get your fix of vitamin sea this summer, check out this list of some of the best beaches to take a spring or summer road trip to. Happy travels! Some of the best beaches in the US that we'd take a road trip to We tried to make it reasonable for you - a road trip to California or Oregon, both of which boast excellent beaches, isn't quite feasible for most people driving from Clermont. That's why we stuck with east coast beaches. Here are some of our favorites for you to explore in the upcoming seasons: #1: Destin: Destin - if you haven't heard of it - is located in the panhandle of Florida. It's famed for its white sand beaches and turquoise waters that make you feel like you're somewhere in the Caribbean. It's also an incredible place to fish as it has huge populations of Red Snapper and Grouper fish offshore. You'll have tons of beaches to choose from and the Gulf of Mexico makes for warm, calm waters to swim in. Destin is about a six-hour road trip from Clermont. #2: Outer Banks: If you're trying to get out of state for a fresh take on beaches, head to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. There are 200+ miles of beach to check out and tons of opportunities for fishing, boating, swimming, surfing, and skimboarding. There's also a great pier at Nag's Head for watching the skies and fishing. The Outer Banks - the start of them, at least - are about 12 hours from Clermont, so consider making a pit stop in Georgia or South Carolina. #3: Sanibel Island: Another Florida beach to explore is Sanibel Island. It just reopened after withstanding Hurricane Ian; it's known for its idyllic beaches and shell-filled beaches (people actually go "shelling" there to collect unique ones). Plus, there are nature trails to hike and bike as well as picnic areas to set up shop. Don't miss Lighthouse Beach! Sanibel Island is about four hours from Clermont. #4: Amelia Island: Amelia Island is another Florida beach (are you seeing a pattern here?) located about 30 miles northeast of Jacksonville. It's a quiet area with a small-town vibe, so it's perfect for families and beachgoers who want to relax. There are 13 miles of beaches to wander, as well as horseback riding on the beach, playgrounds, volleyball courts, kayaking, and nature trails. Amelia Island is about three hours from Clermont. #5: Cape May: If you want a big change of pace from Florida, head further north to Cape May, New Jersey. It's extremely family-friendly and chock full of restaurants, shops, and wide beaches perfect for swimming and sunning. Cape May Point offers a quiet town full of antique shops while Cape May offers a promenade that you can walk to watch the sun rise or set. Cape May is about 16 hours from Clermont, so you'll definitely want to make a pitstop on the way up - North Carolina is a solid place to spend the night. #6: Golden Isles: The Golden Isles are in Georgia, believe it or not. The Golden Isles are composed of four different barrier islands including St. Simon's Island, Sea Island, Jekyll Island, and Little St. Simon's Island. You can't miss Driftwood Beach, which is famed for its huge driftwood trees left stranded on the beach, and there are tons of shops to explore restaurants. The beaches here are also perfect for long, uninterrupted walks on the sand. The Golden Isles are about four hours from Clermont.
