In recent decades, Japanese auto makes have invested a lot into U.S. based manufacturing and production. In fact, the Toyota Camry is constructed using almost no imported components and it arguably one of the most home-produced vehicles you can buy. Here at Toyota of Clermont, we have some very impressive and remarkable vehicles on our lot that buyers get to experience and call their own every day. The Toyota Corolla, 4Runner, Land Cruiser, Yaris and more are all excellent vehicles to drive and own, but sometimes you can't help but want more. Especially if it's something you can't have. Yes, even in the automotive industry there's also a forbidden fruit of a car that you can't have because it's only available in a specific country or area. Just in case you were getting over your long distance car crush, think again! Toyota of Clermont is here with a list of awesome new Toyotas that you can't get your hands on in the U.S. You'll Have to Admire These New Toyotas from Afar 1) Toyota Hilux While today we have the Clermont new Toyota Tacoma and 4Runner to satisfy our rugged off-roading needs, we used to have the legendary Toyota Hilux. This iconic Toyota pickup has developed a reputation for being able to take the brunt of just about anything you could throw at it and keep going with a smile on its face. Before it was discontinued in 1995 in North America, it was the preferred vehicle of one Marty McFly in Back to the Future and the go-to Toyota compact pickup. Today, it's in its eighth generation and continues to be sold internationally. 2) Toyota Crown While we have the Clermont new Toyota Corolla (small crown), the Toyota Crown is something else. While it looks like it should belong to very high-end luxury auto make, it's 100% Toyota and it's 100% not available in the U.S. (womp womp). This luxury model is only available in Japan and a few other select Asian markets. It has been long used as the main mode of transportation for political figures and as a chosen company vehicle for many executives. It's also customizable with three different engine options. 3) Toyota Century If you're looking for something classy, exclusive, and still with the Toyota nameplate then this one's for you (if you live in Japan), then this one's for you! The Toyota Century is the pinnacle of new Toyota luxury and it's super exclusive. So exclusive that only about 50 are produced each month and you need to be someone with money and notoriety if you want to get in the back seat. In fact, the vehicle was with the idea that the owner would never get behind the wheel. With wool-trimmed upholstery, a back seat foldable ottoman, and 20-speaker sound system (to name a few things), it's hard to not want this ride. 4) Toyota Land Cruiser Pickup For 68 years, the new Toyota Land Cruiser has been an off-roading, rugged, and luxurious staple of the Toyota brand. It has a rich history filled with diverse land its traversed and plenty of off-shoot models that are difficult to come by. One in particular is the Land Cruiser Pickup. This no frills truck is meant for those looking to get off the pavement or put in the work. The only issue is that you can't get one state-side. This truck is available in South Africa and Australia currently and likely won't find its way here anytime soon. This version of the beloved Land Cruiser forsakes the luxury options and is just about as bare-bones as it gets. It's meant for tackling the road and that's it. While you can't come by these legendary Toyota models here in the U.S., you can still shop for other amazing new Toyota models at Toyota of Clermont today! Come visit us seven days a week at 16851 State Road 50

Everyone loves the taste of luxury. Advanced technology, comfier upholstery, better convenience features, and sleeker styles. The Toyota Land Cruiser is one vehicle that's equipped with a plethora of luxury features, like a center console cooler box, and the Toyota Avalon is another model to go for if you're looking for something more luxurious to drive. Toyota Unveils a New Electric Vehicle: A C-HR
It's been a while since Toyota has committed to a fully electric vehicle. The last one was a collaboration with Tesla (yes, that Tesla) and became the Clermont Toyota RAV4 EV that was produced until 2014. This RAV4 was unique in the fact it achieved a 113-mile range, got an MPGe range of 78 city and 74 highway, and had a top speed of 85 mph. Electric powered vehicles have come a long way since then. They're powered solely on rechargeable lithium-ion battery technology and can achieve mileage and speed numbers no one thought possible for something that runs on electricity. While Toyota has stuck mainly to hybrids over the years, the automotive giant has finally unveiled a new electric vehicle. Toyota of Clermont is here with all the details on this new production vehicle and what you can expect to see from Toyota's electric powered adventure! Make Way for a More Electrifying Future People who are fans of Toyota are familiar with the Toyota brand know of the many hybrid vehicle options available to them. Since the Prius hit the automotive market in 1997, Toyota has offered hybrid versions of the Clermont Toyota RAV4, Corolla, Highlander, Camry, and Avalon. These vehicles use both internal combustion and electrically powered engineering components to power and propel themselves. In some cases, the internal combustion engine is used to charge the battery components while the battery powers the wheels or the electrical components assist the internal combustion engine to ease some of the power generation. Toyota also offers the Mirai which uses electric vehicle based components, but instead of using gasoline it uses hydrogen fuel. Coming soon, hopefully to Toyota of Clermont, is a fully-electric version of the Toyota C-HR! This unique diamond-shaped crossover SUV is slated to arrive sometime in 2020 and not too much is known about the vehicle's specifications. It's expected to be introduced first to the China market before making its way to the U.S. and will be introduced with an identical twin model called the IZOA. Both vehicles are expected to run on a fully-electric drivetrain system, rather than just being hybrid versions of the C-HR. It's unknown what the mileage range will be for these Clermont Toyota electric vehicles or what specific drivetrain they'll have, whether front or all-wheel drive. The internal combustion Toyota C-HR doesn't come equipped with an all-wheel drivetrain currently but, with some reengineering for this new EV model, it can be done. Because the new Toyota Prius features an AWDe drivetrain it's likely this new C-HR will feature something similar. The new Clermont Toyota electric vehicle C-HR is wrapped in mystery and more will be revealed soon as 2019 comes to a close. When it'll make its way to the U.S. is unknown, but an EV from Toyota would be a welcomed new vehicle to the expanding lineup we love. Toyota aims to sell 5.5 million electrified vehicles by 2030 (these being hybrids, plug-ins, electric, and hydrogen fuel-cell) in an effort to reduce CO2 emissions exponentially. Shop Your New Electric Vehicle at Toyota of Clermont If you're looking for more electrified driving experience from your ride, Toyota of Clermont is the place to go. We have the perfect hybrid ride to take your ride to a new fuel-efficient and technologically advanced level. Come visit us today at 16851 State Road 50 or give us a call at (352) 404 - 7000.

Exploring Electric Car Technology
The auto industry is one that's always marked with change in technology, consumer preferences, and trends. Vehicles change time and time again and new technology is introduced to meet the demands of the consumer or to respond to a specific event in time. For example, Toyota first engineered the BJ (what we know now as the Toyota Land Cruiser) in response to the Korean War in 1950. Today, vehicles that use renewable energy are being developed at a rapid pace in response to climate change and environmental harm. While Toyota has been big on hybrid and hydrogen powered vehicles, electric car technology is being massively explored today. If you're curious about this new form of vehicle powering technology, Toyota of Clermont is here to help make things simple! Toyota of Clermont's Guide to Electric Car Technology Commonly referred to as EV, electric vehicles have come a long way over time and work to reduce harmful emissions entering the environment by using electric powered engines and drivetrains. These vehicles don't directly emit carbon based pollutants into the atmosphere and use large-capacity lithium ion Clermont Toyota batteries. These batteries can be recharged through various means like solar power, motion, and direct plug-in. Here are a few key facts to know about these types of vehicles: Clermont Toyota electric car technology vehicles are inherently more efficient than their internal combustion counterparts and use features like regenerative braking to recover energy that's typically lost during braking. Lithium-Ion batteries are very portable and come in various shapes and sizes, but their size often determines their energy capacity. Larger batteries make for larger amounts of energy, but large batteries often make engineering difficult. While internal combustion Clermont Toyota vehicles pose a fire hazard after an accident, electric car technology vehicles also pose fire risks due to the volatility of lithium-ion batteries. Electric car technology equipped vehicles often have public-use electrical plugs that drivers can use to charge their vehicles during their ventures away from home. These vehicles can reach large mileage ranges and the technology continues to advance for better charge times and mileage ranges. In some states you can apply for a tax grant for the purchase of an electric car technology equipped Clermont Toyota vehicle and, while the up-front cost of one these vehicles is higher than an internal-combustion equipped vehicle, you will save quite a lot of money over time driving a vehicle like this. Currently, Toyota doesn't offer a fully-electric vehicle in its lineup. But, in a collaboration with Tesla back in 1997, there was a Toyota RAV4 EV that ran strictly on electric power and had a driving range of 95 miles. Today Toyota does offer electric car technology enhanced models like the Clermont Toyota Prius Prime and various hybrid models that use partially electric engineering to cut back on pollution and up fuel-efficiency grades. Electrify Your Next Ride at Toyota of Clermont When it comes to delivering a fuel-efficient, environment assisting, and cutting-edge new ride, Toyota of Clermont delivers.
