New Toyota Electric Car "Beyond Zero" Teased

The news headlines just keep coming from Toyota and we at Toyota of Clermont are happy to report some fantastic new events. Awhile back we revealed to you, our readers, that Toyota was committing to releasing not 1, not 2, but 3 electric cars. One being a plug-in hybrid and the others being battery electric vehicles (BEVs). Well readers, it looks like we might be getting teased with one of those BEVs right now. Toyota tweeted a teaser of a new model and slogan this morning. What does it all mean? Are we getting a Toyota electric car sooner than we thought? Find out more from Toyota of Clermont right here! A Toyota Electric Car is Coming Soon to Clermont Toyota had made a formal announcement earlier this year detailing its intentions to proceed with 3 new electrified models. The first one looks like it will be debuting pretty soon and Toyota's tweet is the strongest evidence we have. It reads, "Go beyond limits. Go beyond expectations. Go Beyond Zero." What's it all mean? Let's dive in! Beyond Zero? Toyota's overall mission for the future is to design one in which the automotive market and other technological areas exist without harmful emissions. Of course, Toyota is opting for a gradual process, evidenced by Akio Toyoda, a vocal proponent of this philosophy. Regardless of pacing, Toyota has stuck true to its ideals for a emissions-free future with the launching and continuation of the Beyond Zero campaign. The campaign focuses heavily on producing different alternative fuel sources like hydrogen fuel cells, electric power, and upgrading existing forms of commuting. Examples of this campaign's fruitions include the e-Palette, the Woven City, Mirai, and more. In the context of this newly teased vehicle can we only assume that the new electric car will be incorporated into this campaign. What About the Electric Car? Now for the part you've likely been waiting for us to arrive to. The electric car that Toyota teased. While not in the tweet itself or the accompanying video, Toyota has released some images of a shadowed front fascia. Upon initial observation, the fascia looks about as a large as a Clermont Toyota RAV4 with some cutting angular headlights. It also features Toyota's famous blued-out insignia that's typically hybrid cars. We can assume that Toyota is likely transferring the blue symbol to other models that use alternative fuel. The front fascia brings to mind an electric car concept Toyota introduced some time ago. Is this one of those models moving out of the concept phase? More than likely this new electric car will be the SUV that's been teased by Toyota recently. Apart from that we don't have many other specifics to offer. No word on the driving range, what the interior will feature, and so on. We at Toyota of Clermont have heard a rumor that this vehicle might be unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show coming soon. Until then, we'll report what we find out! Ready to shop for an incredible Toyota hybrid today? Visit Toyota of Clermont at 16851 State Road 50 and shop with us!

The New Toyota 86 Has Been Revealed!

Not too long ago, Subaru unveiled their upcoming 2022 Subaru BRZ. A new exterior design featuring a new front bumper look, the rear-end had changed significantly, and the body lines were sportier than the previous iteration. Finally, the Scion FRS/Subaru BRZ/Toyota 86 was becoming something new. But, while the BRZ had debuted, the 86 was nowhere to be found. Until today! Toyota has unveiled the next generation of Toyota 86, the GR 86, and it's coming soon! Toyota of Clermont is here with the latest details and what you can expect to see on this new Toyota sportscar when it releases. The Supra's Little Sibling is Making a Comeback The Toyota 86 has always been a main staple of Toyota's versatile lineup. It's the lightweight and affordable sportscar for those looking for something that can handle the track without breaking the bank. It's back for a new generation and it's packing some excellent new features you'll be excited to see! Compared to the BRZ, the Toyota 86 will only be changing the black grille mesh insert and some engineering modifications. Aluminum will also be used in different areas of the body construction. The roof panels and fenders will be made from the lightweight metal and an updated set of front seats and mufflers will help bring the weight and center of gravity down. What are Toyota and Subaru Planning?

Partnerships between automotive manufacturers aren't uncommon by any means. Think of it like the combo buildings that house Taco Bell, KFC, and sometimes Pizza Hut. It definitely seems weird on the face (kinda like putting anchovies on a taco pizza made out of fried chicken), but you can't help but acknowledge the amazing possibilities available. Toyota has partnered with Tesla in the past and now spends a great deal of time roasting them. Today, Subaru is the main co-op pal to Toyota (Toyota having a 10% share in their company) and the Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ is the harmonious symbol of that partnership. Just recently, Subaru released a graphic containing a slogan and date which seemingly suggests that something new is coming from the partnership. But, what is this new Toyota model we're getting? Or what if it's not what we think it is? Toyota of Clermont is here with some ideas for an answer! You Never Know What's Going to Happen Next Trying to predict the next steps for an automotive brand is always tricky. Projects open and close and ideas come to fruition and crash and burn all the time. Toyota and Subaru's partnership is still in its infancy as we've only seen one project come off the assembly line. But, it looks we'll be getting something new before we know it. At Toyota of Clermont, we have some ideas. The New Toyota 86? Subaru wasted no time in announcing a newly revived version of the BRZ. The sleek lines and new technology match the upgraded engineering and remind us of an Aston Martin. The one thing missing was an identical announcement for the Clermont new Toyota 86. We got an answer, but it wasn't one we quite liked. Akio Toyoda requested that the 86 reveal be delayed to ensure that it and the BRZ were more fraternal than identical. This announcement could be for the 86, but it seems like too fast a turn around. The GR Hot Hatch? With the Clermont new Toyota GR Yaris being exclusive to our friends across the pond feeling like an ultimate betrayal, Toyota promised a Gazoo Racing Hot Hatch unique for the North American market. But, little has been said or revealed about it, aside from the engine specs. Could the Clermont new Toyota Hot Hatch actually be a Subaru collaboration to be announced during this event? We sure hope so! Something Entirely New? There's always the chance that Toyota and Subaru won't announce either one of our guesses. They could announce an entirely new vehicle slated to release on both lineups or that their partnership is simply expanding. The possibilities are endless and we're excited for whatever Toyota and Subaru have in store for us. Ready to get behind the wheel of the Toyota 86? Want to know more about this announcement? Visit Toyota of Clermont today at 16851 State Road 50!

All About the Latest New Toyota News

The automotive industry isn't one that slows down or takes a break. Believe it or not, it's in our blood (or perhaps fuel would be a better metaphorical equivalent). Among all the shakers and movers in automotive world, Toyota is one that always stays moving. For the new week we at Toyota of Clermont have a new selection of news stories all about some possible new 2022 new Toyota Tundra cabin options, the process of buying one of the twenty GR Super Sport vehicles, and Toyota's warning to Apple. Yes, that Apple. Check it all out here! A Slew of New Toyota News to Kick Off Your Week You Got Some Questions That Need Answering There are a variety of exclusive vehicles out there, but you hardly ever see them. Think about it. When was the last time you saw a Ford GT on the road or a Toyota Century? Probably never. Toyota is currently building a hypercar called the GR Super Sport. This unique ride is built for the track with a twin-turbo V6 mated to the Toyota Hybrid System-Racing platform. Basically, it's going to go fast both on the road and when it comes to sales. There will only be 20 units, yes 20, available and Toyota wants to make sure you're the right candidate to buy one. They have a questionnaire to determine prospective buyers that contains questions like: What 10 car models do you own and how would you rank them in terms of favoritism? How many miles do you drive per year in your sportscar? Which sportscars do you plan to purchase in the future? How frequently do you visit the racetrack? Which professional driving events have you participated in/do you enjoy watching? All this to determine if you'll have the honor of purchasing one of the 20 models that will be available soon. Pretty intense Clermont new Toyota stuff! New Cab for a New Toyota Tundra At Toyota of Clermont we've been speculating for quite some time as to when we'll be seeing a new Toyota Tundra in these parts and we're sure the answer is pretty soon. With the new design comes several key changes to the cabin space and bed length. Apparently, according to new spy photos that have surfaced online, it looks like the new Toyota Tundra will be getting an additional 7.6-inches in rear-seat legroom and an additional foot of bed space for the CrewMax trim level. Big things are coming soon for the Tundra! You've Been Warned, Apple. xoxo, Toyota Whether you remember it or not, Apple made big news and waves in the automotive world with the idea of an Apple Car. Yes, not only is Apple in your hand but on the roads too. Not much came to fruition after the initial announcement but Apple is trying to make good on their words. Recent negotiations, that have since fallen through, with new Toyota competitors like Kia and Hyundai mean that Apple is looking to get started on their new project. But, Akio Toyoda had some words (as he always does). His quote can be surmised best as a word of warning that he'd like " to be prepared to deal with customers and various changes for some 40 years." While Apple is certified professional when it comes to phones, we at Toyota of Clermont are interested to see what they come up with when it comes to cars. New Toyota News for a New Week

Another week, another round of news to bless your Monday mornings. Here at Toyota of Clermont, we do our part to keep up with the latest goings-on in the Toyota-sphere. Recently we've seen a slew of news regarding the retiring of the Land Cruiser, a new 86 coming, and more. But, that was last week's news. The future is now and we have new topics to cover. In short, Toyota's Woven City has broken ground, there's a new plan to combat the world's carbon footprint, we might be getting a new paint color for TRD models, and are we seeing the downfall of the Crown? Check out these stories and more right here with Toyota of Clermont! News on News on News The headlines are abuzz with Toyota lately and we're here with the latest. Check it out here! The Woven City Has Broken Ground Reducing your carbon footprint is immensely important on both a personal and corporate level. Toyota delivered news about a year ago that they were designing a city in the foothills of Mt Fuji that spans 175 acres and seeks to exist free of emissions. At Toyota of Clermont we delivered this news but we're happy to report that ground has been broken on this revolutionary project/experiment. Akio Toyoda was present for the ceremony and reiterated that the intention of the project was a coexistence between environment, technology, and people. The city will include interwoven networks that are specific for various means of travel and commuting, autonomous machines for both assistance and transportation, and a zero net-carbon footprint impact. With the project just beginning, we're excited to see what the future holds. A New TRD Paint Color Might Be Coming If you haven't noticed, Toyota has recently been stamping a unique paint color on every Clermont TRD model. The Army Green paint won the hearts of off-roaders and fans of the edgier side of automotive. The 2021 Lunar Rock paint became an instant hit, so what's next? Well, some true Toyota fans have come to the conclusion it'll be a Citrus Lime Green, reminiscent of the olden days of the Prius. An Instagram user, @4runnersnacks, took the liberty of mocking up this potential paint color on a Clermont 4Runner model picture and the results are amazing! Toyota forum participants were wowed by the color and rumor is this color might be it. But, there's always the chance that we're completely wrong. Only time will tell. Compact Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Packs are Coming Toyota is continuing to explore various avenues of alternative fueling and carbon-footprint reducing technology. Two new BEVs are set to debut this year, the Mirai recently saw a complete upgrade, and now Toyota is aiming to sell their hydrogen fuel-cell technology in a more compact package. This move aims to popularize fuel-cell technology and bring it to more industries. The battery system would be sold as a compact generator unit to be used for stationary power or as a base for trucks, boats, trains, and more. These carbon-footprint reducing generators are set to release this year but there's no word on availability, price, and to which companies they will be sold to. What's Happening with the Toyota Crown? While we've been getting some great Toyota news lately, the retirement of several models isn't among the greats. The Land Cruiser is reportedly being retired in North America by the end of 2021 and the Crown might be next. Granted, we'll never see a Crown at Toyota of Clermont but this is one of Toyota's oldest and most beloved monikers across the rest of the globe. So, what happened? Well, the SUV craze, for one.
