Cat cafe near Orlando

Fun Weekend Activities: Cat Cafes

It's no secret that Orlando and Clermont are hosts to entertaining weekend activities. The theme parks are obvious ones, but then you have amazing restaurants, great shopping, and so many other great options for a fun way to spend the weekend. While your mind may be stuck on the obvious choices, there are definitely some unique places to visit that you probably didn't know about. Introducing, cat cafes! These unique establishments are truly special and will make for a memorable and exciting weekend for everyone (especially if you're a cat lover). Toyota of Clermont has the details on cat cafes and where you can find a few of them in town and near Orlando. What is a Cat Cafe? You may be desperate for a fun activity to do this weekend, but you're likely wanting to know what a Clermont cat cafe is before you commit to visiting one. To put it simply, cat cafes are a place, usually a small restaurant or coffee house, that incorporates feline friends in the mix. And no, the cats aren't baristas (that would be crazy). Cats are given their very own play zone complete with cat trees, toys, places to climb, and lots of attention. Cat cafes host felines from local animal shelters and encourage patrons to interact with them with the hopes of them getting adopted. All in all, cat cafes are great. Great small pastries, coffee, plenty of cats, and they have the chance to find a new forever home. These eclectic places are very few and far between, but luckily there's one in Clermont and one coming to downtown Orlando soon! Let's dive a bit deeper into these cat cafe locations and what they offer. The Cat Cafe Orlando Located at 532 Cagan Park Ave. in Clermont, The Cat Cafe Orlando has partnered with local brand Axium Coffee and the SPCA Florida to bring together great beverages and the cutest cats. The cafe uses a 1,000 square-foot space for about 12 - 15 cats to freely roam and enjoy themselves. The cat area has a separate entrance from the actual cafe so patrons have the option to just enjoy their coffee with some feline company or grab it and go. The cost for entrance into the cat area is $8 per hour for adults and $4 for children under 12 years old. The Kitty Beautiful While we have a cat cafe right in Clermont, this one's coming to the downtown Orlando area so you can experience amazing feline hospitality if you're having a day in the city. This cafe partners with Pet Alliance of Greater Orlando and has free roaming feline residents who are all fully adoptable. This location is in the process of opening, but will be located at 360 State Lane, Orlando. Partake in cat yoga sessions, movie nights, date night specials, and more when their doors open later this year! The weekend is finally here and it's time to get out there and have some fun! Stop by one of these amazing cat cafes, enjoy some great coffee, pet some cute kitties, and maybe even find your new forever friend. Have a purrfect weekend!

driving in the rain

5 ways to prepare your car for driving in the rain

While Florida is known around the country as the "Sunshine State", we definitely get our fair share of rain, especially in the summer. Anyone who lives here knows that we're prone to heavy afternoon thunderstorms throughout the summer season that can lead to downpours, heavy winds, lightning, and more. Not only that, we're at risk for hurricanes from May to November. Basically, if you're a resident of the Sunshine State, you need to have your car ready for driving in the rain. Toyota of Clermont is here with 5 tips from our Toyota service center techs to help you get your car prepped for wet weather. Prep for driving in the rain with these simple auto service appointments Tip #1: Get routine brake service as scheduled. You always want full stopping power on your side when driving, but even more so when you're driving in the rain. Slippery roads and the possibility of sudden stops mean you need your brakes to be in top-notch condition. Let our Clermont auto service techs put you on a brake service schedule so you can ensure your entire braking system is always where it needs to be. Tip #2: Don't forget to regularly check your tires. Your tires are what comes in contact with wet roads, so you need them to provide as much grip as possible. Regularly inspect them for any damage (like blisters, sidewall separation, punctures, etc.) and make sure they're always properly inflated to the right PSI (this information can be found in your owner's manual). You should also routinely check that the tread level is high enough and if it's too low to allow for proper traction, replace your tires to avoid skidding out and losing control of your vehicle. Tip #3: Make sure your defroster is working. When combined with heat and humidity, driving in the rain can cause some seriously foggy windows. The best way to combat the lack of visibility is to run the defroster - make sure yours is working so you have a clear view out of the front of your car AND the back. Tip #4: Replace your windshield wipers as necessary. Your wiper blades are another imperative part of your visibility when you're driving in the rain. If they're making chattering or squeaking noises, leaving streaks on the glass, or simply smearing water around instead of clearing your windshield properly, it's time for a new set. Our Toyota of Clermont parts store can help you choose the right set and even assist in installing them to get you back out on the road. Tip #5: Make sure your headlights are shining bright. Even if you're driving in the rain in the daytime, you still need to turn your headlights on... and this means you want them shining brightly. If your headlights are dull or you have a burnt out bulb, it's time to visit our Clermont auto service center and have our techs take a look. Toyota of Clermont can help you beat the wet weather Need to schedule auto service or buy parts and accessories to prep your car for driving in the rain? Clermont Toyota A/C service

4 signs you need A/C repair this summer

Fall is definitely on the way with back to school just around the corner, but that doesn't mean we're out of the clear for summer weather here in Clermont. Temps will be in the 80s and 90s well into October, which means if you think your car A/C system is on the fritz, you still have a very good reason to get it up and running again. Toyota of Clermont is here with 4 surefire signs you need to bring your ride in to see us for A/C repairs - if you've spotted any of the following with your car, then you should schedule an appointment today! Surefire signs you should schedule an appointment at Toyota of Clermont #1: You smell an odd smell when you turn on the A/C. Do you smell an off smell whenever you try to run the A/C inside your car? Scents may vary, but typically your car will start to smell musty when you run the A/C if you've got an issue... and that issue is mold. This weird scent can indicate that mold or mildew are growing inside your car's system and you need to have it professionally cleaned to get rid of the odors. Schedule Clermont A/C repairs ASAP to nip the problem in the bud - you don't want to breathe that air in, anyway. #2: You hear noises that are out of the ordinary when the A/C is running. Do you hear banging or rattling when you run the A/C in your car? This means you're definitely due for A/C repairs, but it can be difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of the noises without getting under the hood and taking a professional look. Let our Toyota of Clermont techs inspect your system to see what the issue is and get you back on the road, nice and cool, in no time. #3: You notice leaks under or inside of your car. Leaks underneath your vehicle are never a good sign, and if you spot coolant under the car, you've got a big issue. However, you also might experience water leaks INSIDE your car when you need A/C repairs - the water can't properly circulate because of issues within the system like clogs or damaged hoses. Whichever type of leak you're facing, A/C repairs are likely needed to fix it. Get into Toyota of Clermont's service center to get things back up and running again. #4: Your A/C won't work. (Obvious, we know.) If you find yourself with a car A/C that is blowing weak, refusing to blow cold, or just simply won't work at all, it's time for repairs. Don't suffer all summer - cool off with our expert auto service techs at Toyota of Clermont. Cool off with A/C repairs today Seeing signs that you're due for an appointment with us? The Toyota Land Cruiser is one vehicle that's equipped with a plethora of luxury features, like a center console cooler box, and the Toyota Avalon is another model to go for if you're looking for something more luxurious to drive. While Toyota maintains those luxury vehicles in its lineup, and has Lexus as its luxury brand, no vehicle can possible come close to the legendary Toyota Century. This luxury vehicle is the pinnacle of class, comfort, and craftsmanship. If you're not familiar with this Clermont Toyota luxury vehicle, you're in luck! Toyota of Clermont is here to give you all the details of this upper echelon ride. Never Heard of the Toyota Century? You're Not Alone If you're thinking, what's the Toyota Century? You're not alone. This luxury vehicle is one of the most eclectic and exclusive vehicles Toyota manufactures. It's only available in Japan and only about 50 are produced each month for the upper-class Japanese market. It was first introduced in 1967 and has only had three generations throughout its life-span so far. It's characterized by a wide stance and boxy exterior style, similar to the look of a Rolls-Royce. The paint is highly reflective, almost mirror-like (it takes six weeks to paint and only four workers in the world are qualified to paint the Toyota Century properly), and it's had several different engine options throughout its life. What Makes This Luxury Vehicle Unique? Apart from only being available in the Japanese market, the Clermont Toyota Century luxury vehicle is equipped several unique features and characteristics that set it apart from your average vehicle. The Clermont Toyota Century has been available with a variety of V8 engines, including one with a hybrid drivetrain for the current generation, and a unique V12 engine from the second generation. It features a unique phoenix themed badge that's modeled after the golden phoenix of the Japanese royal families that once ruled from the Kinkaku-ji temples in Kyoto. Each Clermont Toyota Century luxury vehicle is inspected thoroughly for paint defects or body deformations before getting a price tag. Toyota Centurys are typically sold to upper-class individuals in Japan. Government officials, royal family members, business executives, you get the idea. This luxury vehicle was designed with the passenger in mind. In fact, it's designed with the idea that the owner will likely never set foot in the driver's seat. It drives unlike many other luxury cars in the fact that it's seemingly normal. The V8 engine with hybrid drivetrain is very responsive, but the steering is relaxed. The Century is designed with an active noise cancelling technology called "active noise control." This technology analyzes the sound frequency from exterior noises and broadcasts the opposing frequency to counteract incoming noise. This makes for a nearly silent drive wherever you're going. There's also a 20-speaker sound system inside and several comfort features like a foldable ottoman in the passenger seat, wool trimmed upholstery, highly contoured power-seating, and massage equipped back seats. All-in-all, the Clermont Toyota Century luxury vehicle is a unique ride. It's arguably one of the most unique luxury vehicles out there and it's highly exclusive by design.
