New Toyota SUV coming to European market

When you want options for your next ride, you should shop Toyota. After all, the brand is pretty well known for having a lot of options - whether you want a sedan, SUV, truck, van, hatchback, sports car, hybrid, or coupe, there's something for you in the Toyota lineup. And we just got word that yet another model is being thrown into the mix - in Europe, at least. The 2022 Toyota Yaris Cross will be joining the family and Toyota of Clermont has the details on what this innovative new Toyota SUV will have to offer when it hits dealerships. Get to know the 2022 Toyota Yaris Cross The 2022 Toyota Yaris Cross is sort of a "big brother" to the original Clermont Toyota Yaris - it's more spacious and has different performance features, but it does share some similarities. Let's take a look at the info we've got on this brand-new Toyota compact SUV! It won't be available in the US. The 2022 Toyota Yaris Cross will only be up for grabs in Japan this fall (of 2020) and Europe at some point next summer (2021). We won't see it stateside, probably because we have the Toyota C-HR in our lineup at Toyota of Clermont. The new Toyota Yaris Cross was supposed to be debuted at the Geneva Motor Show way back in the beginning of March, but COVID-19 obviously threw a wrench in that. That's why Toyota decided to unveil the new Toyota SUV on their website last week instead. The Toyota Yaris Cross has some similarities to the Toyota Yaris, as noted, but it definitely differs when it comes to performance. While it sits on an Clermont Toyota Yaris wheelbase, it's taller, more spacious inside, and has longer overhangs to overall just be a bigger and more SUV-like vehicle that its predecessor. It'll also offer a hybrid model, something the current Toyota Yaris doesn't. The Cross will come with a 1.5L 3-cylinder engine under the hood, optional all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive, and the choice of CVT or a six-speed manual transmission. When it comes to appearance, the interior of the Toyota Yaris Cross does share some similarities with the original model. However, as noted it's more spacious and will offer both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto via its large touchscreen interface in the dash. How about the exterior? This new Toyota trends more toward the design of the Clermont Toyota C-HR than the Toyota Yaris. It boasts angular design elements, a two-toned paint scheme, edgy new taillights and headlights, black wheel arch surrounds, and more. It's more aggressive, and also more sophisticated than its sibling. See how the Clermont Toyota C-HR stacks up today We won't see this new Toyota SUV at Toyota of Clermont (like, ever) but if you like the look of it, get behind the wheel of the Toyota C-HR to see if it fits your needs! You can schedule a test drive today at (352) 404-7000, or stop by and see us at 16851 State Road 50, just west of the Florida Turnpike.

Believe it or not, family vehicles can do more than just act as passenger transport vehicles. The Clermont Toyota 4Runner is technically an SUV and can be used as a family vehicle. But it's also one of the best vehicles when it comes to off-roading. The Sequoia has recently been reintroduced with off-roading capabilities as well as the RAV4 with the Adventure and TRD Off-Roading editions. 3) Consider its features Toyota family vehicles are outfitted with a variety of convenience and safety features that set them apart from others. Six signs you need to schedule alternator repairs

Everyone knows how important the car battery is to performance. Without it, you wouldn't be able to start your car OR keep it running. However, in order to get you where you need to go, your battery has to use a tremendous amount of power... and it can't do it alone. That's where your car alternator comes in! Your car alternator is responsible for recycling power while your car is in motion so that it can charge the battery and keep it from draining. Without a working car alternator, you'll find your battery dies pretty quickly, leaving you stranded. That's why it's essential that you're able to spot alternator problems before they become bigger issues, and Toyota of Clermont's expert service techs are here to tell you how. Use our handy checklist to figure out if it's time to schedule auto repairs. Six signs you need to visit Toyota of Clermont for repairs 1. Your car alternator light is on. There's a warning light for this essential part in some cars; it's usually shaped like a car battery and will say ALT or GEN underneath. If it illuminates, then you need to schedule Clermont auto service to get things taken care of and get you back out on the road. The car battery light is another good indicator that you're having issues with this VIP part, so don't delay diagnosing the problem! 2. You notice that your lights are dimmer than usual. Are your car's interior and exterior lights dimmer than usual? Or maybe you start your vehicle and they're nice and bright, but as you drive they start to get dimmer? Not only is this dangerous for you and other drivers, it's also a sign that your car needs alternator repairs ASAP. Remember, this part helps power the electrical system of the car so when your lights dim, that system isn't getting the juice it needs to work properly. 3. Your car won't start properly. If you're having trouble getting your car started or it's dead altogether and you KNOW you have (or at least, had) a good battery, your car alternator is likely the issue. If it's not working, it's not recharging your battery, which means that battery is going to drain fairly quickly. Let Toyota of Clermont take a peek under the hood. 4. You hear odd noises coming from the engine. If you hear weird noises like grinding or whining noises, it can be an indication of an issue with this important part. The car alternator has a lot of moving pieces and when one of them breaks, it can cause a cacophony of noise under the hood. Combine this with any of the other signs in this list, and you need auto repairs, stat. 5. You smell "electrical fire" smell. Your car alternator works in conjunction with belts to stay in motion. If the belts aren't working properly, they can create excess friction and in turn, make that "electrical fire" smell because of the heat. Call our Clermont auto service center to pinpoint the problem and fix it. 6. You can see a broken belt inside the engine bay. If you can actually see a broken belt inside of your engine bay, it's time to visit us for repairs! Without working belts, this essential auto part is going nowhere fast. Trucks vs Cars: Pros and Cons

Are you in the market for a new ride but struggling to decide whether you should buy a new Toyota car or get behind the wheel of a new Toyota truck? We get it - both offer great advantages to your drive time, so it can be hard to pinpoint which is going to be the best solution. Toyota of Clermont is here to help you wade through the pros and cons so you can make the BEST choice when it comes to your next new Toyota. Should you buy a Toyota truck? Size: Cars are smaller than trucks, even if you shoot for a more compact Clermont Toyota Tacoma truck. This can be a pro OR a con - some drivers prefer to own larger vehicles, while some find it tedious to maneuver a big truck around the road. For this factor, it's truly your personal preference. Fuel efficiency: Cars get better fuel efficiency than trucks, hands down. Trucks are bigger and have bigger engines under the hood, so they require more fuel to get around town. While fuel efficiency has improved over the decades for trucks, if it's a big factor in your budget, you should probably buy a sedan or hatchback. Towing and hauling: Trucks win when it comes to towing and hauling. Remember those bigger engines we just talked about? They use more gas, but they also produce more horsepower and torque. This translates to much more towing power than a vehicle. For example, the Toyota Tundra can tow up to 10,100 lbs while the new Toyota Camry maxes out at just 1,000 lbs. If you need to tow, a Clermont Toyota truck is the way to go. Off-road ability: Do you like to take things off the pavement? If so, we highly recommend a Clermont Toyota truck for your adventures. Trucks come with much better off-roading abilities than cars, packing features like four-wheel-drive, active traction control, special suspension systems, off-road tires, and automatic limited-slip differential (to name a few). If you like off-roading, you're much better suited to a truck. Interior space: Believe it or not, trucks can actually tie with cars at this point in the game. If you choose a double cab Toyota truck, you'll likely have just as much interior space for passengers as if you chose a sedan or hatchback (and in some cases, maybe more). Cargo space: However, when it comes to cargo space, trucks offer more than cars. Not only will you have some cargo space inside the cabin, you'll also have an entire bed to haul around your gear. Cars can't quite measure up when it comes to trunk space, so if you need hauling power, you should go for a Toyota truck. Test drive any of our Clermont Toyota trucks and cars today! Still having trouble deciding? The best way to find out whether you should buy a car or truck is to drive both. Come down to Toyota of Clermont to do it! We're conveniently located at 16851 State Road 50, just west of the Florida Turnpike. You can call us seven days a week at (352) 404-7000 to schedule your test drive and get all the info you need!

Stickers require a little more elbow grease to remove from your car, especially if it's on the paint - you don't want to damage your vehicle's paint job and end up in the body shop. Toyota of Clermont is here with 5 quick car care tips to help you remove pesky stickers and leave your car looking like-new! Toyota of Clermont can help you remove stubborn stickers Tip #1: Try heat Did you know that using a hair dryer can actually make a sticker a lot easier to remove? Plug your hair dryer into an extension cord and bring it out to your vehicle. You'll want to hold it close to the sticker for about a minute; this will help melt the adhesive and make it softer so it's easier to peel. Pull up a corner of the sticker and from there, peel. Our Clermont car care techs recommend using a rubber spatula to help peel the entire sticker off of the paint. Tip #2: Try cold On the other hand, extreme cold can also help you get rid of stubborn sticker on your Clermont Toyota. Hold an ice cube on the sticker for a minute or two; then, choose a corner and get to work. This method may require you to use a credit card or a razor blade, so it's best reserved for stickers on glass. You never want to use a razor blade on any painted surface of your vehicle - it can do major damage to the paint. If you're using a razor blade on glass, our Clermont car care techs recommend you choose a dull one and hold it at an angle to avoid any scratches. Tip #3: Try Goo Gone The whole purpose of Goo Gone is to remove stubborn stickiness, so it's a great way to get a sticker off of your car. Pour it over the sticker and let it sit for a few minutes, then start to peel. You can use more Goo Gone to remove any residue left on your vehicle. Tip #4: Rubbing alcohol Rubbing alcohol will actually break up the adhesive on the back of the sticker and make it easier to remove (and will also get rid of any residue left on your Clermont Toyota). Soak the sticker with alcohol, let it sit, and then peel. Tip #5: White vinegar White vinegar offers similar results to rubbing alcohol but without the chemicals. If you want to go this more natural route, you should soak a sponge in white vinegar and hold it over the sticker for 60-90 seconds before starting to peel. Let our car care experts help you out! And a word to the wise - if you put more stickers on your vehicle, our car care experts recommend that you only place them on glass. It's easier to remove them from this surface, and you won't damage your car's paint. Have questions? Let our car care team help!
