Toyota Highlights from the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show

The 2019 Tokyo Motor Show is underway in Japan right now and needless to say, the exhibitions look breathtaking. There's nothing more exciting than getting a glimpse at new vehicle concepts, upcoming productions models, and new technology that might have its time in the sun. This year, for the Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota did not disappoint with its huge display of innovative technology, new production models, and futuristic concept vehicles. A lot has been revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show so far and, lucky for you, Toyota of Clermont is here with the latest updates and most interesting outtakes from the show. While some of these Clermont Toyota vehicles are only concepts and we may never see them at our dealership, it's still amazing to see what could be. Read on for more! The Toyota T-HR3, the Micro Palette, and the e-Palette are all examples of Toyota's ongoing effort to introduce AI based devices like robots, small delivery vehicles, and people movers to enhance human mobility. Several of these devices will be used and displayed during the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics to help people commute around the Olympic village. Electric Vehicles Galore The world and the automotive industry are moving toward alternative fuel sources to combat the climate crisis while still providing more cost-effective and clean ways of moving people. Toyota has introduced an entirely new second generation Toyota Mirai (which uses hydrogen as its sole fuel source), but electric vehicles are become very popular among drivers. For the Tokyo Motor Show, Toyota has displayed several concepts including the Clermont Toyota e-Trans and the e-Racer. The e-Trans is a concept of a multi-passenger autonomous vehicle based around electrified engineering. The e-Racer uses a similar concept with batteries as its primary fuel source. The Vehicle that Knows You After alternative fuel and vehicle autonomy comes active machine learning and AI based tools to make your vehicle more aware of you. From this thought comes the Clermont Toyota LQ with AI program "Yui." This ultra-futuristic ride uses an AI program that learns about the driver to assist with driving and make every commute different. This vehicle will learn your ideal air temperature, music volume, cruising speed, how alert you are, and more to tailor the driving experience to the driver. This vehicle will also use Toyota's autonomous vehicle technology once it's successfully developed.   While it'll likely be some time before any of these Toyota vehicles from the Tokyo Motor Show make their way to Toyota of Clermont, we're excited to say the least! More Info on the TRD Toyota Camry and Avalon

The best-selling Toyota Camry and reimagined Toyota Avalon are two amazing vehicles that we absolutely love here at Toyota of Clermont. With the Toyota Camry being one of the most popular vehicles in the world and the Toyota Avalon being sportier than ever, these vehicles are something you need to experience to truly understand the hype. But, before you come test drive one of these vehicles with us, we have some exciting news about some upcoming TRD Toyotas that you'll definitely need to see to believe. The TRD Toyota Camry and Avalon are on the way and we have some new details on these vehicles that we know you'll love! Toyota TRD Camry Details The sporty Clermont Toyota Camry definitely has some great performance chops, but this new TRD Toyota option takes that up a notch. Here are a few of the new adjustments you'll notice in this sporty new trim level: New matte-black 19 x 8.5-inch alloy wheels. These wheels will be a half-inch wider than the allow wheels on the XSE Clermont Toyota Camry trim level, but each will weigh 3.1 pounds less. These wheels will be paired with Bridgestone Potenza summer tires for better grip on the road. A gloss black front grille with sport mesh insert and black exterior badging. This TRD Toyota will be available in Supersonic Red (our favorite), Windchill Pearl, Celestial Silver Metallic, and Midnight Black Metallic paint color choices. Stainless steel polished TRD exhaust tips with catback exhaust system. Stiffer coil springs and front/rear sway bars for a 44% in the front and 67% in the rear roll stiffness. Plus, Clermont TRD Toyota drivers can take advantage of unique TRD shock absorbers to help control vehicle vertical and roll movements. The interior upholstery is taken to a sporty new level with black sport SofTex trim, red seatbelts, and Toyota TRD logo embossing. The Clermont Toyota TRD Camry will have an MSRP of $31,040 and be available in September. Toyota TRD Avalon Details The Toyota Avalon has been reimagined for the current model generation in the vein of a true sports-sedan. This isn't the Avalon of yesteryear and the Toyota TRD edition truly brings that sentiment home. Here's what you can expect to see on this edition: Just like the Clermont Toyota Camry TRD edition, the Avalon will also be getting a new set of shoes. Specifically, 19 x 8.5-inch matte-black alloy wheels with Michelin all-weather tires. This reduces the unsprung mass of the wheels and tires by 18 pounds. Toyota TRD stainless steel exhaust tips. Interior touches including black sport SofTex-trimmed heated front seats and TRD logo embossing on headrests and other touch points. Paint color options for this trim level include Supersonic Red, Windchill Pearl, Celestial Silver Metallic, and Midnight Black Metallic. The new Clermont Toyota TRD Avalon will be available soon and have an MSRP of $42,300.
