The 2026 Toyota 4Runner: Ready to Explore
The 2026 Toyota 4Runner is back at Toyota of Clermont! Continuing in its sixth generation, this year’s 4Runner is more refined and capable than before. And with twelve distinct grades, you’ll find the perfect one for your next adventure!
New 4Runner Features in 2026
The 2026 Toyota 4Runner is in the second year of its sixth-generation design. This year’s models come with more refinement and tuning to improve on-road comfort without sacrificing off-road capabilities. There’s a new layout that focuses on driver-assistance and connectivity services, and with the overhauled powertrain lineup, you’re able to go anywhere with comfort and ease.
The 2026 Toyota 4Runner Lineup + Performance
The 2026 Toyota 4Runner comes in twelve different grades:
- SR5
- TRD Off-Road
- TRD Off-Road i-FORCE MAX
- TRD Off-Road Premium
- TRD Off-Road Premium i-FORCE MAX
- Limited
- Limited i-FORCE MAX
- Platinum
- TRD Sport
- TRD Sport Premium
- TRD Pro
- Trailhunter
This year, the Trailhunter trim has been added back to the 4Runner lineup. Alongside all the TRD Off-Road and TRD Pro grades, this trim is an overlanding-focused upgrade featuring numerous integrated off-roading components. There are plenty of appearance and equipment packages to cover everything you’d need, from urban use around Clermont to technical trail work.
Plus, you can make your 2026 Toyota 4Runner stand out even more with nine paint colors to choose from: Heritage Blue, Everest, Underground, Black, Ice Cap, Cutting Edge, Wind Chill Pearl, Supersonic Red, and Wavemaker.
The standard engine is a 2.4-liter turbocharged inline-four that gives you 278 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. Paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, you’ve got a strong SUV with responsive acceleration and tight gear spacing.
But if you need more power, there’s always the optional i-FORCE MAX hybrid system that will give you 326 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque.
While rear-wheel drive is available, the 2026 Toyota 4Runner is known for its four-wheel-drive configurations. This includes a two-speed transfer case with low range for some serious off-road use. You can also equip a locking rear differential, Toyota’s Multi-Terrain Select system, Crawl Control, and a Stabilizer Disconnect Mechanism on select trims for any off-roading obstacle.
Off-Roading in Style with a 2026 Toyota 4Runner
This year’s 4Runner keeps its traditional SUV profile with a high beltline, short overhangs, and pronounced wheel arches. Rather than a purely cosmetic styling, there’s an emphasis on ground clearance and approach/departure angles.
And as always, there’s the signature upright tailgate with a powered rear window and roof rails.
The 2026 Toyota 4Runner also has some new standard features, such as the LED headlamps and taillamps. Higher trims also receive more aggressive front and rear fascias, as well as dedicated wheel designs sized for all-terrain tires.
The off-road-oriented trims (such as the TRD Pro and Trailhunter) even add functional accessories like steel or aluminum skid plates, recovery points, upgraded shocks, and all-terrain or mud-terrain tires.
The 4Runner’s Interior and Comfort
Climb inside the 2026 Toyota 4Runner, and you’ll enjoy the modern and comfortable touches in any seat. There’s an updated dashboard layout, more soft-touch materials on key contact points, and a cleaner integration of screens and physical controls.
The 2026 Toyota 4Runner keeps its standard two-row configuration to provide ample cargo space with the fold-flat rear seats. Select trims even offer an available third row to expand seating capacity when needed!
In other words, this Toyota SUV is perfect as both your everyday family vehicle in Clermont and a weekend gear hauler in the woods.
Depending on the trim, you get to choose between a traditional analog-style gauge cluster with a multi-information display or a fully digital 12.3-inch instrument panel that can show navigation, off-road data, and driver-assist status.
The central touchscreen has a standard 8-inch or optional 14-inch display and is positioned high on the dash for easy visibility.
Technology in the 2026 Toyota 4Runner
Toyota equipped this year’s 4Runner with its latest multimedia system, which includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Plus, there’s integrated navigation on the higher trims and cloud-based services where available.
Enjoy multiple USB-C ports in the front and rear seats to keep everyone connected, and an available wireless charging pad in the front to reduce cable clutter.
The 2026 Toyota 4Runner comes equipped with Toyota Safety Sense 3.0. This suite of safety features is the perfect bundle of top driver-assist technologies for driving around Clermont. Enjoy features such as:
- Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control
- Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection
- Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist
- Lane Tracing Assist
- Road Sign Assist
Additional features include an integrated backup camera with a projected path, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors, and a surround-view or multi-terrain camera system.
On some trims, you’ll get a digital rearview mirror to maintain the driver’s rear visibility — even with a packed cargo area.
